Exclusive!!! WHat Really Happened At The 56TH GRAMMY Awards; Kendrick Lamar It "Sucks That I Robbed You" Macklemore

We always tell...

Macklemore Instagrams Text Messages Telling Kendrick Lamar It "Sucks That I Robbed You"

He s the show snatcher, not cos fans thinks so, but because he admitted it.
WHAT THA SPOON happened  in the Prestigious 56thGRaMMMY????
2013 Grammy winner Ben Haggerty, known by his stage name Macklemore and formerly Professor Macklemore, is an American rapper. Since 2000, he has independently released one mixtape, three EPs and two albums and significantly collaborated with producer Ryan Lewis

Despite the fact that Macklemore and Kendrick Lamar squared off in many catagories—including Best Rap Album—last night during the 56th Annual Grammy Awards, the two rappers have had a friendly relationship in the past. With Macklemore winning four Grammys and Kendrick winning none, the Seattle rapper has turned into quite the rap villain with fans li\keabout how upset they are Macklemore won likepridicted

Macklemore took to Instagram to post photos of text messages he sent Kendrick after the awards. Although Macklemore never actually apologizes, he admits he robbed the Compton rapper of an award that even he felt belonged to Kendrick. The caption to his photo read:
My text to Kendrick after the show. He deserved best rap album... I'm honored and completely blown away to win anything much less 4 Grammys. But in that category, he should have won IMO. And that's taking nothing away from The Heist. Just giving GKMC it's proper respect.. With that being said, thank you to the fans. You're the reason we were on that stage tonight. And to play Same Love on that platform was a career highlight. The greatest honor of all. That's what this is about. Progress and art. Thank you. #grammys
These texts come a day after Macklemore posted another text exchange between himself and K-Dog where they hyped each other up before the Grammys. However, that time we saw a back and forth between Kendrick and Macklemore. This time, we're left to wonder what Kendrick's response was, if he had any.
There's two other questions we're wondering though. 1) Why is Kendrick listed in Macklemore's phone as "Kendrick Real." 2) Shouldn't Macklemore answer his 1133 other texts before Instagraming pics of just one text? Just saying. And 3) We're just gonna assume Macklemore doesn't have Drake, Kanye, or Jay's phone numbers, right?

Macklemore called into Hot 97 this morning and reiterated what was said in his text message to Kendrick Lamar last night. Macklemore says Kendrick was robbed of Best Rap Album, which the Seattle rapper took home alongside his producer Ryan Lewis with The Heist. He also explains why this occurred, and it's something that Complex's Senior Editor Rob kenner spoke about at lent in a recent write up: people on the Grammy committee generally don't know who or what they're voting for.

"I think what people don't understand is what the Grammys are is a bunch of people that are on the Grammy committee or in the industry, they get a ballot. I got a ballot this year. Now, as I'm filling out the ballot, I'm realizing I don't know much outside of the genre of hip-hop in terms of what should get what award. So I'm like, oh, I don't really know about singer/songwriter or country music. People are filling out bubbles of genres they don't know about. And that's the process of it.

"In terms of the people that are voting on those ballots, that are filling out those bubbles, we have an unfair advantage, due to race, due to the fact that we had huge radio success. Due to the fact that our names were circulating more in a pocket of the industry of people filling out that ballot."

Macklemore also says he planned on shouting out Kendrick during
his Best New Artist award speech, but he was cut off by the music. Listen to his explanation below.Macklemore also says he planned on shouting out Kendrick during his Best New Artist award speech, but he was cut off by the music. Listen to his explanation below.

India Arie Also didn't seem to Hesitate to lash aT The Grammy Faulty Committee voicing her disappointment via her tumblr handle

If Kendrick Lamar is upset about being robbed of his Grammy award Sunday Night (Jan 26) he doesn’t have to speak on it because enough of his music peers are. India Arie broke her Twitter hiatus to speak on the Grammys, “I’ve been on a month long writing retreat social network hiatus, I have to break it today to comment on last nights #GRAMMYs” the songwriter tweeted.
She posted a lengthy open letter to the Grammy’s, “@Kendricklamar WAS robbed, BUT he was not the only one who was robbed,” on her tumblr site.”Though it’s called “Music industries biggest night” the #Grammys are NOT about the music, it’s a popularity contest.”
The usually somber artist continued her rant this time specifically targeting the categories. “If the hip hop community voted on hip hop – r&b COMMUNITY the same – same for each category – we’d see winners that reflect the MUSIC ITSELF. We all know that’s just not the way it goes.NOW the BIGGER losers, are ALL of black music. Where was the black music community represented in last nights #Grammy show? Performers and Winners (or not) Where were the black artists?”
She continued her frustration before mentioning something many have overlooked about this award show, “P.S. No mention of Nelson Mandela at ALL? …and THIS is why we NEED the Image Awards AND the BET awards.”
While Nelson Mandela wasn’t a direct contributor to the music industry his work speaks volumes and it was surprising that the show failed to acknowledge him at all.
